Ahhhhh. I used to never take days off. Even when there was no crossfit workout, i would always find time to do some isolated chest or arms or something. Now, I take these days off. When I feel the need to work on an "extra" body part, as there are never bicep curls in xfit wods, i will now do them later in the day a few hours after my normal workout. The body needs recovery and I am always looking forward to the next off day. They do in fact help more than I ever knew before. Regardless of your fitness goal, weight loss, muscle gain, improved performance, rest does nothing but give you progress towards your goal. REST!
This is a picture of what I crushed for dinner tonight. It consisted of 8oz of turkey breast, 1 whole large avocado, and pineapple. Delicious!
