Pull ups

I get alot of questions about pullups and why crossfitters do them a certain. Frankly, a movement that looks super out of control and a bit ridiculous. Some say that they dont isolate the muscles of the back as much as a dead hang pull up and that is not always true. But here is an answer to those of you who as "why a kipping pull-up?"

The reason is due to the great amount of power output (force x distance)/time. Power is equal to intensity and when you increase the ability to output power, you will see an increase in strength, speed, endurance, and stamina. So the answer is to produce more power over a certain amount of time.
