Push Through??

Here lately, about the last 2 weeks, I have noticed my energy levels begin to decline and progressively get worse and worse. My diet hasn't changed, if anything has tightened up due to the upcoming FGBV competition, where I have given myself the goal of the ever so elusive score of 400. I have been getting about 7 hours of sleep on average, however the sleep seems restless as I am waking up a few times during the night. I get tired late morning and its tough to push through my workouts. I seem to get a sudden burst of energy somewhere between 6-8pm. I'm not sure if this is due to the energy of the upcoming 7pm class or what, but the lingering question is WHY is all of this happening. I have been avidly crossfitting for about a year and half and consistently for the last 10 months and this is my first experience with this.

My coaching and PT sessions have been great considering all of this. I feel great doing sessions and classes, however the moment I hear 3,2,1....go and have to pick up that barbell I cannot get motivated and feel like my second wind never kicks in. For anyone that has competed competitively, you know what I'm referring to. That unexplained push from 100% to what seems like 200%. A place that's hard to experience outside of competition. The thought of not being able to go to that place terrifies me and it's one of the most frustrating things I've ever dealt with.......

After some research and and guidance by Adrien, she read me the symptoms of adrenal fatigue. Body aches, digestive issues, disturbed sleep, and lethargy are some of the main symptoms I am experiencing. Of course, this is all self diagnosed, as I am not one to go to the doctor for really much of anything. So what to do????

I have begun taking an adrenal supplement and hopefully this will give me some aid and help with juggling everything we try to do in a day. So did I just define my problem?? Trying to do to much?? Possibly. However, I have worked long hours in this business for the last 5 years and have been fine. Am I just getting old and my body cant take it?? I refuse to believe this. It's my belief that the moment you "buy" into the fact that you are getting old, then all is downhill from there.

Age is a number. My number is 29. The bigger it gets, the more PR's I can set. Period.
