Days 1-3......
Last week I committed to 7 days of rest, recovery, and a 7-day cleanse. Here I am, 3 full days in and there have been some mental struggles.
If anyone has read any of my last few blog posts, then you already know I am struggling through an injury that is prohibiting me from doing any lower body workouts at all. So enough about that.
The mental struggles would be the same, with or without the injury. To go from working out 5x/week to doing nothing more than flexibility and trigger point therapy work can def be a mind F!
It's easy to let yourself get out of a routine because we often think that if we don't exercise then why do anything else, but we must stay mentally in the game and our priorities the same. I'll compare it to a starting pitcher in baseball. He only works every 5-6 days, but on his off days he still suits up and is in the dugout or bullpen helping others prepare their game. providing insight and strategy to the task at hand. Rather in the game or not, he is still a very important player on the team and must stay mentally in the game at all times.
-Congrats Coach Mark on finishing the half-ironman! Many props my friend. Truly inspiring.
-Let's do this Rangers!! Close it out
