Why do you CrossFit?

I've tossed this question around quite a few times over the last 18 months and the types of answers I hear are endless. Whether it be to lose weight, gain muscle, to get away from the everyday corpo gym boredom, to rekindle a competitive fire, or just because it's what is hot right now, each person has his or her own reason for why they joined a crossfit box.

I always get chills when I ask this question and get the answer of, "I want to change my life." When I hear this, I can't help but get chills and super excited. I am also honored to be able to be a part of something that means so much to someone. To change a life is a serious thing. I definitely take it seriously and strive to do everything in my power for myself or my team to make this a reality for anyone that walks in the doors of CrossFit Round Rock.

For me, I started crossfit because I was bored. I didn't need to lose weight. I had a sufficient amount of muscle. I wanted to competition piece of what crossfit had to offer. What I gained was so much more than that. I gained a lifestyle that is maintainable for a lifetime. Met people that have changed my life for the better. And been able to accomplish feats I never cared about before. I've said it plenty of times before but crossfit makes you as mentally tough as it does physically and mental strength is equally as important.

Ask a crossfitter why they started crossfit and you will probably get 1 or 2 main reasons. Then ask them what they have gained from crossfit and their answers will amaze you.
