Get your mind right!

The top of your game.......

What does that even mean? Does it mean performing the best you can or being mentally focused beyond distraction? How about being perfect on your diet and routine? All of these answers may be what it means or it may be a combination of them and others not even listed above. Whatever it means, I am not ashamed to say that "the top of my game" isn't where I've been living my life over the last month or so.

I can't put my finger on the reason why either. I know the pressure of regionals is gone so it's not that. I've always and probably always will feel the pressure to perform at a high level for a few reasons. The first of which is that I've always held myself to that standard. The second being that I feel, and completely brought upon myself, that if I am going to coach and teach things, then not only do I need to know what it feels like, but I want to excel at it. And be great. I want to be a role model for someone. I don't care who and I don't even need to know. I don't want to put on a show for just those people, I want everyone to be able to learn from me and have take aways from my teachings. I am always open to constructive criticism and opinions from the outside so bring it on!

Back to the point, it's time to flip on my mind and get back into it mentally. Everything will fall into place. Physically and mentally. I'm in. I'm gonna show you how great I am.
