So here I am a week after the surgery to repair the torn bicep tendons in each arm.
Wow. What a ride so far.
I don't really remember much until last Saturday except that I was in pain and my hands were swollen up like balloons. Fast forward today and only 2 showers later (haha), I am feeling a little better about the situation. At this point I don't have full extension of either arm and only partial pronation and supination of each arm. However, I can shower, brush my teeth, eat, drink, and various other daily tasks.
My follow up dr visit is tmrrw at 11am and I am hoping for positive news, whatever that may be.
I appreciate all of the calls, texts, emails, FB messages over the last week. You guys are the best!
I also, am very much looking forward to being back to work full time beginning Monday, January 14th. See you in the box!
Below is a picture of each arm and a new toy I have to use when I get back to the gym and am cleared to do any kind of working out....
Each incision kinda resembles the number "7" and each it is about 1" long. There is also a puncture on the back of each arm where the drill came out after going through the bone. Refer to last blog entry if this drill talk doesn't make sense.
Enjoy!
Here we go!
