Free for All vs. Skillz Session

This Saturday is the Free For All and Skillz Session. There have been a few questions on which one should people come to or both or what so let m e try to clarify what the difference will be.

The Free For All is a workout that is intended to be for everyone. Generally the movements are on the lower end of the Skill spectrum and the idea behind the workout is to introduce the idea of CrossFit to those who are new. We generally never scale up from the movements but always scale down to make the workout manageable for everyone.

The skillz session is for the crossfitter who wants to get better. Plan and simple. It will focus on movements that we almost never do in Free For All's and will be paced differently as well. The movement (s) covered in skillz sessions will also be movements that we can take into our current crossfit classes and be more comfortable with when they come up in weekly wods.

SO what are this weeks skillz session movements? See you Saturday at 10am and we'll find out:-)

“Look, I don’t really know where we should take this bus. But I know this much: If we get the right people on the bus, the right people in the right seats, and the wrong people off the bus, then we’ll figure out how to take it someplace great.”

-Jim Collins

Completely separate subject, for everyone going into the Fittest Games and everyone who compares themselves to others, remember, in the end, it's always you vs. you. You have no control over how fast, strong, efficient, or mobile the person working out next to you is. Control what you can control. See video below....
